ENVIRONMENTAL & SAFETY POLICY

PMT Srl is aware of the importance as to the impact of its activities and aims to confirm with this Policy its commitment to continuously improve the impacts and interactions related to the environment, safety of its employees and quality management.

The management of the company, therefore, commits itself by making available human, instrumental, and economic resources, to pursue and promote the goals of improving environmental management, employee safety and health (and related programs) as an integral part of its business and as a strategic commitment in relation to the more general objectives of the company.

It is our company’s policy to operate in compliance with ISO14001:2015, ISO 45001:2023 and subsequent AMD 1:2024 through certified Management Systems as an effective business management tool. It is the responsibility of the entire Organization to make sure that all functions achieve the Expected Goals. It is the responsibility of the Executive Board to define and record the goals of the Policy.

To implement the Policy and achieve the set Goals, the Executive Board defines the Authorities, Responsibilities, and mutual relationships of all the staff who lead, perform, and check the activities that have an impact on the systems.It is the management's responsibility to continuously improve the systems; for this purpose, indicators are constantly monitored and new improvement goals are set at least on a yearly basis.

For the purpose of environmental management, management will promote every possible action aimed at:

- Protect the internal and external environment.
- Make the work processes free of significant environmental risks for workers and the environment.
- Inform authorized Bodies and Associations in relation to its activities and in particular in reference to the quantity, origin and issues of waste being disposed of in the Departments, while respecting the safeguard and confidentiality set forth in current legislation.

With the environmental policy, it is committed to:

- Comply in content and principles with all environmental laws and regulations relevant to the site;
- Make every reasonable effort to eliminate and/or reduce emissions, discharges and waste, starting from the origin, at every stage of the activities performed at the site;
- Adopt technologies and processes that offer the best environmental performance where reasonably possible in technical and financial terms;
-Make more rational use of energy resources and raw materials;
- Promote any initiative aimed at environmental protection;
-Monitor and improve the organization's environmental performance;
- Prevent pollution and reduce the environmental impact of our activities by adopting sustainable technologies and processes;
- Consider climate change as a relevant factor in within the context of our organization, assessing the associated risks and opportunities and including them in our environmental management system;
- Annually monitor CO2 emissions through ISO14064 required purposes;
-Make plans for CO2 reduction.

For this purpose, PMT Srl, after having conducted a detailed Initial Environmental Analysis of the production activities performed at its site, has identified some priority areas for intervention and has set itself the following goals:

- Train and actively involve employees in identifying and reducing the environmental impacts of its activities;
- Promote waste recycling through its sorting;
- Manage the site by minimizing waste and other environmental disruptions;
- Communicate with customers and suppliers to improve, where possible, joint environmental management;
- Identify, also through the analysis of accidents that may have occurred and quasi-accidents, the environmental aspects to be monitored;
- Identification and quantification of appropriate environmental indicators to refer to for the relevant time periods and systematically analyze, review and update them at least annually. This in accordance with relevant legislative changes and the guidelines set by the company's Environmental Policy.

For the purpose of Labor Safety Management, the company management undertakes that:

- starting from the defining stage of new activities, or in the revision stage of existing ones, safety aspects are considered to be essential contents;
- all employees are informed, trained, instructed (when necessary) and made aware to perform their duties safely and to assume their responsibilities with regard to OSH, with special reference to involvement and consulting, also through their safety representatives;
- responsibility in OSH management concerns the entire company structure (managers, supervisors, plant installers, purchasing and maintenance departments, workers, guests, visitors, etc.), so that they will be involved, in accordance with their responsibilities and competencies, in achieving the assigned safety goals in order to:

- machines, plants and equipments, workplaces, operating procedures and organizational aspects to be performed in such a way as to safeguard the health of workers, company properties, third parties and the community in which the company operates;
- information on business risks is disseminated to all workers;
- Their training is carried out and updated with specific reference to the job task being performed;
- needs arising during work activities are promptly, effectively and diligently attended to;
- preventive actions are prioritized and a commitment to the prevention of work-related injuries and illnesses is promoted;
- cooperation among the different corporate resources, and with external designated bodies are promoted;
- all applicable laws and regulations (as well as requirements that the company has voluntarily signed up to) are complied with, formulated procedures are followed, and identified company standards are observed;
- its activities are also managed with the aim of preventing accidents, injuries and work-related diseases. The operation and maintenance, including cleaning of workplaces, machines and facilities, are aimed at this end;
- Inform and monitor all suppliers of raw materials and services in general including subcontractors working with PMT about the mandatory laws regarding D. LGS 81/2008;
- the general protection measures specified in Article 15 of D. LGS 81/2008 are pursued and are set as the basis for the selection criteria by which corporate objectives are identified;

- goals of continuous improvement in OSH management and OSH performance and prevention of work-related injuries and illnesses are pursued.
- Consider climate change as a relevant factor for workers' health and safety, assessing the additional risks associated with it (such as heat stress) and taking appropriate preventive measures.

PMT Srl will make this Policy known to its employees and workers by displaying it on the company notice board and making it public to Associations, Bodies and anyone who asks for it and posting it on the company website www.pmt.it.

All employees are expected to comply with the requirements of the documentation of the system and to identify conditions which are adverse to quality that could obstruct the achievement of the defined policies/objectives. All employees have the opportunity to suggest actions to improve the Environment and Safety Management System. Management, moreover, undertakes during the Management Review to review and revise, where appropriate, this Policy in order to establish and determine objectives and goals that the organization sets for the coming period.
